I don’t even know what to write, except that this summer, I witnessed a miracle. I had the great privilege to be involved in the life of a family going through the toughest thing they have ever faced: finding out that one of the twins they were carrying had a life-threatening condition, giving birth to their babies at 26 weeks gestation, losing one precious baby, and watching one as he fought daily to survive, grow, and thrive in the NICU for three months. I truly could go on and on about Dana and Greg and the courage, grace, and positive attitude with which they have faced it all, but no words will ever capture how inspiring and special they are. Instead, I will do what I do best: I will attempt to show you through my lens. Dana and Greg, I am so blessed that I got to watch this miracle of Clark’s life as he grew each week. Thank you for allowing me into your lives at such a tough, tough time. I love you guys, and I love your little Clark man so very much… I am so glad that God brought us together, and I am looking forward to watching Clark grow through the years! Thank you also to all those tireless NICU nurses and doctors who not only took amazing care of Clark, but made me feel so welcome and went out of your way to help me capture these images because you believed they were important. They are.
Here it is: Dana and Greg’s story, Vic & Clark’s story, and the story of Clark’s journey to come home from the NICU. (Yep, it is long- about 20 minutes, because it encompasses the whole story as well as three months worth of images… it also is probably best to view low res unless you have a fast connection, it will be fuzzier but might not get stuck.)
